About

At the closure of Central Dance Theatre in 2011 Velita and Juneta recognised the gap this would leave for young people so returned to Alice Springs to embark on a new business venture. Studio B School of Dance was born at the beginning of 2012 with the clear direction to provide well rounded performing arts training  to nurture local talent of youth in Central Australia.

Since 2012, Studio B has seen student success in many ways with interstate associates of the Australian Ballet School, student performance in Opera Australia's 'The King & I' and past students who have achieved a wealth of success within the performing arts industry. Students have gone onto further pursue performing arts at companies, schools and institutions such as Sydney Dance Company, Victorian College of the Arts, Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, Patrick Studios Australia, Adelaide College of the Arts, Alegria Dance Studios, Elmhurst Ballet School (UK) and Brent Street Studios. Previous students have also utilised the discipline that dance instils to pursue careers in an array of different fields; the life lessons that dance training instils going far beyond pursuing a professional career in the arts!

Since 2012, Studio B has grown from strength to strength and in 2020 moved into a newly purchased commercial property at 4/2 Ghan Road. The new space boasts two spacious studios, ample parking, security and a defined facelift from humble beginnings. We welcome new students to enquire about lessons and look forward to dancing with you at Studio B in the future!
